My experience at Little Madawaska
We found the property very easily on GPS. We arrived later in the evening but found the house very well equipped and supplied with essentials along with hard to think of items. The camp was very clean, WiFi, supply of DVD movies, and every comfort appliance you could ask for.
Plenty of provided seating both in the camp and on the front deck over the water.
The owner checked on us by email and text frequently to ensure we had everything we needed. Plenty of wildlife to see and the weather was near perfect! Couldn’t be happier.
AMAZING STAY and VERY well stocked with ALL necessities!
We stayed at this location for 5 nights, it was our very first time EVER renting a camp. Not only was the owner VERY informative, she was very friendly, accommodating and easy to reach. This camp came with EVERYTHING you could ever need for a stay aside from clothes and food. They were stocked with all necessities down to bandaids and after bite! There is a canoe, kayak and plenty of safety equipment to go out and enjoy the water. They had a few floaties in the shed and we left behind another one for the next family to enjoy! I see a lot of reviews mentioning sizing of rooms and what not. In my opinion, you rent a camp to relax and enjoy the outdoors all the way up until bedtime and as long as the beds are big enough (which they are) everyone is comfortable! We enjoyed a nice fire every night during our stay which ended each night with a sense of relaxation and peace. Plenty of bug spray and citronella candles on the property in case you didn’t bring your own (luckily we did) so I thought that was convenient as well. The amount of dish, cook and storage ware was PHENOMENAL! It was stocked enough for 2 full kitchens with everything you could ever use to make family meals. All in all, we had an AMAZING stay and will 100% be back again! Thank you Carla and Jim!
Rented at the end of September. Very quiet and serene. Wish we could have stayed longer. You can hear the loons on the lake (the birds not the neighbors).
My husband and I treated our son, his wife and two children to a 3 day getaway (they live on a farm and seldom get away). Camp was wonderful and well kept. It came with so many items that you sometimes have to buy like soap, dish soap, plastic wrap, etc., etc. etc. Very well stocked and appreciated.
View was beautiful and so relaxing. Granddaughter (age 11) spent most of her time trying to catch a fish.. Adults enjoyed the canoe. Only suggestion would be to move the medicine cabinet to another location in bathroom. It sits near the front of toilet and, in the dark, one could bump their head on its corner. Also, be aware that the bedrooms are tight (we didn't care as the only time you're in there is to sleep.) We'd go back in a heartbeat!
We truly enjoyed our visit at this camp. It’s a camp, not a house, but it has all the amenities of a home. Very clean and neat; not always found at a camp. Well furnished. We brought our kayaks and had easy access to the water. We toured the little lake and passed through the thorofare to the big lake for enjoyable trips. I would not hesitate to go there again.
Thank you for the review. It's very much appreciated.
