The classic architecture, to meticulous care, build the character of this everlasting sanctuary. Feel the rich history encompass you as you enter the foyer from the front porch. The spacious rooms on the first-floor feature high ceilings and vintage architecture. A first-floor bedroom with a queen bed. There is also a large, handicapped accessible bathroom to the right of the dining room as well as a half bath downstairs. The side entrance to the home has a ramp as well. The kitchen, in the rear of the house, leads out to the back yard with beautiful plantings. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking although the restaurants in the area are worth discovering. The second floor has an additional four bedrooms and one full bathroom. Custom painted murals are divine. Hardwood floors were uniquely designed in each room. Well-appointed rooms make you feel instantly at home. Custom built woodwork by ship carpenters throughout is impeccable. This home has been a designer showcase home and on the Lewes Garden Tour. Lewes getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was wonderful & a great spot for "base camp" for exploring the area. Jan was a wonderful host.

Old, unsafe house

The six of us stayed at this property in August 2022. The house is old and showed for the years of being a rental - pretty run-down spaces, a mishmash of furniture and linens, etc. Electrical sockets could be hard to find, especially in the upstairs. However, some fundamentals made this an unsafe place to stay: - Signs everywhere in the house warned that the hot water tap produces scalding water. I was careful but had burning water run over my hands multiple times during the week. This is a huge risk to ordinary people, but I honestly cannot imagine children staying here. This property should not be rented further until this issue is corrected. - A bedroom door was literally falling off the hinges when we arrived. The property manager got a handyman over there quickly. While the door was reattached, it would not close properly. We were told that they did not want to spend more money on the handyman's time at that point, even if the result was that the people in that room could not have privacy with a closed door. In addition, windows in one of the bedrooms facing the the street did not have treatments to block the sun, resulting in some very early mornings for the person who stayed there. Also, many of the windows around the house simply couldn't be opened. Other renters should be advised that a hospital with a helipad is a block away. We were disappointed in our stay here and will not return.

Beautiful Victorian House

House was beautiful with gorgeous flower and perennial gardens, private nooks for me time and plenty of space for everyone on the wrap around porch. Kitchen fully stocked with adequate cooking utensils and supplies.

Very nice stay in Lewes

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice stay while visiting family. The home is old and quirky, but has space and charm and was great for our group. It could use a few repairs, but, again, was a good home in a good location for a winter stay in Lewes. The property management group could do a better job of providing clear and tailored instructions.
