My in laws come to California every winter, and this was one of the best stays to date. The place is fantastic. You’d want to live there forever every day, that’s how good it is.

The Balboa property itself is stunning, surpassing all expectations for a reasonably priced rental. It exudes a homey atmosphere, reflecting thoughtful choices in every detail. Best vacation rental ever!

What a fabulous stay we had at The Balboa. The apartment is absolutely gorgeous, with elegant furnishings and a lush backyard providing a serene view. We felt comfortable and welcome. Even our 2 dogs seemed to enjoy our stay. The hosts, Debra & Zach, are incredibly accommodating and thoughtful. The location is exquisite. If you're unfamiliar with the Lantern District of Dana Point, it's very walkable, offering a variety of shops, restaurants, bakeries, outdoor strolls, and incredible views from the bluff overlooking Dana Point Harbor. My wife and I live locally in Orange County, and we chose this location to stay while our home was being remodeled. We knew the location would be great, but had no idea The Balboa would be so charming, with so much character. Best vacation rental ever!

Happy Campers

The decor gave us a unique vibe that we enjoyed. Nice setup in the back patio. All the amenites we needed. Very comfortable.
