In our complex are 3 pools, and six individually enclosed Plexi-pave championship tennis courts. Racquet and ball rentals are available at the front desk. For golfers, we have three world class courses at Wailea just minutes away. If you are on a budget, you can walk or drive to Foodland and bring groceries back to prepare in your own fully equipped kitchen with a full size refrigerator, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. All dishes, cookware, and utensils are provided free of charge. For those who like to barbecue, there is an easily accessible gas-fired grill that is cleaned every morning for your use. If you want to eat out, there are plenty of great restaurants from fast food to fine dining, all very close. As the sun sets in the evening, you can sit out on the lanai, sipping your favorite beverage or cocktail, and enjoy beautiful views of the island of Kahoolawe, which sits directly across from you. About Laurie Walz
Kimo and I met and got married 32 years ago in Oahu. We have two grown children. Our son lives in London, and our daughter and son-in-law live in the L.A. area. We are both ordained ministers, although I am the one that is on full-time staff at a Foursquare Church. Kimo is a professor at a Christian University, where he teaches business. We both enjoy spending time at the beach and love the laid back atmosphere in Kihei. We hope you enjoy your stay in our condo and discover many fun places to visit while you are there.

Why Laurie Walz chose Kihei
We stayed at Maui Vista while we were in Maui and felt very comfortable with the accommodations and were impressed by how beautiful and well-kept the grounds were. The fact that it is just steps from such a beautiful beach is also a plus!
What makes this Condo unique
When we walked into the condo to take a look at it for the first time, we were impressed by how cool it felt compared to others. There was a nice breeze flowing through the windows, which made it comfortable even when the air conditioner was not on. We loved the way the condo was furnished, and loved the way it had recently been remodeled. It had that great balance of feeling like home but was tropical enough to also feel like we were on vacation.

Impressive location with all of the needed amenities
We absolutely loved our stay! The condo was in a centrally located area making walking to nearby restaurants very convenient. The complex is located right across the road from a beautiful beach, it was stunning! Boogie and surf boards were available which was extremely fun. The owners were responsive and ensured all of our needs were met.The condo was perfect and had everything we needed. We will return to the area one day and will hope to find this location again. Highly recommend!
Beautifully decorated, maintained and well-stocked unit with all the conveniences of home.
Mahalo to Kimo and Laurie for making us feel so comfortable on our holiday on Maui. My wife and I were celebrating her birthday and Thanksgiving and having such a lovely and welcoming home to come back to after a day at the beach or exploring the island was a wonderful. The convenience of having the beach chairs, towels, beach mats and snorkeling sets in the unit allowed us to head straight to the beach on our first morning without having to stop to rent any of that stuff. Being able to have morning coffee on the lanai overlooking the ocean and island in the distance was a perfect way to start the day. Being able to cook a few meals in the well-stocked kitchen and do laundry was great. I would highly recommend staying here.
Beautiful location and very nice suite.
Beautiful spot in Kihei.
Very nice unit with fantastic views! The unit was completely outfitted with about every option needed for a fun Maui stay. Water items, soft top board, snorkel equipment, ice chest, towels, beachchairs. Everything,! Very clean. Another lounge chair in the living room area would be nice, but it's a very nice, comfortable condo with a short walk to gorgeous beaches.
Comfy and clean condo in a great location
We enjoyed our stay in Laurie’s condo. Her place is clean, well stocked with everything one would need for relaxing, preparing a meal or a day at the nearby beach. We especially enjoyed the quiet mornings with the beautiful view as we sipped our coffee on the lanai. Laurie was quick to respond and generous to accommodate a special last-minute request. It made our stay even more special.
Great location, nice ocean view, comfortable stay
This was our second time staying at the Maui Vista condo community. We love the location right across the street from Charley Young Beach. Charley Young is a great swimming beach with decent snorkeling in calmer waters. You can't beat the convenience of this location. We love being able to grab our towels and walk across the street for our morning and evening swims. We enjoy the laid back local feel of Kihei town, and the local eats; Salad and Fork, Three's Bar and Grill, Kihei Caffe, 808 Deli, Da Kitchen, Sugar Beach Bake Shop. We like food. The condo community is a little bit older, but has nice mature tropical landscaping (lots of Plumeria trees, my favorite). It's a quiet community that consists of a mixture of friendly retirees and travelers. Parking is convenient and was never an issue.
This unit is located in building three, the farthest building from the street and highest in the property. The location of the condo made for a nice ocean view. The pictures don't do it justice. Due to the buildings design, there is a wall on the right side of the lanai that prohibits a northern view, but I was very happy with the views of Kahoʻolawe and the ocean in the distance. This unit is located close to the only elevator for the building. We did not notice any "traffic" noise, however, my husband and I don't tolerate the heat very well so we had the AC or the AC and fan on while we were sleeping and that "white noise" drowned out everything. The AC units worked great. The mattress is good quality, but very firm (which I enjoyed!). The condo has had some upgrades, and could use a few more. Overall, the condo met our needs fully. We had a wonderful and relaxing much needed vacation, and we would definitely stay here again.
Within walking distance there are many restaurants, touristy shopping areas, and of course gorgeous beaches. Further away we recommend using the Shaka Maui app, which you can download on your cell phone. This allows the user to purchase a audio tour of either the Road to Hana or the trip to the top of Haleakala. If you are planning to do the Road to Hana, leave early and make sure you bring a cell phone car charger. Take advantage of the short hikes to waterfalls, and plan on spending a couple hours at the end at the Seven Sacred Pools. Make sure to bring your swim suit and towel! Don't miss the lava tubes along the way.
We also recommend checking out the Lavender Farm, which you can go to on the way back from Haleakala. If you want to eat lunch there, be sure to call ahead for a reservation.
