The Royal botanical gardens - Spread over 150 acers (59 hectares) the garden was established in 1821. It is home to over 4000 species of plants and over 10 000 varieties of trees, including of orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees and attracts over 2 million visitors a year.

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic –Sri Dalada Maligawa is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex which houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha and is a UNESCO world heritage site.
Temple of the Tooth dress code: you should take your shoes off and leave them in the shoe room .Wear long loose trousers or a long skirt that covers your legs un to the ankle .

Udawattekele Sanctuary, Kandy - The sanctuary scatters around 257 acres and is deemed as the most important Bio Reserve of the country. Quite a few Buddhist temples, water pond, Kodimale Peak, Senkanda Cave and Garrison Cemetery.
Bahiravokanda Vihara Buddha Statue, Kandy - Panoramic view of the city down, including a view of the lake, tea factory, and football stadium; gallery that has artefacts based on the life of Buddha; a souvenir shop which has lovely goodies at a much friendlier price.

Ceylon Tea Museum, Kandy - The Tea Museum is a building of four floors where from ground floor to second floor it’s all old machineries, library and auditorium. Rock pool swim – Swim in natural rock pools formed by flowing water from top of a mountain. Situated just 5 km from the bungalow this hidden gem offers a great opportunity to relax in the cool waters as well as indulge in a picnic ( do speak to our cook Chamara to lead the way )
Hanthana Hike – The Hanthana mountain range in Kandy is popular among those who like to go hiking, camping, bird watching and be close to nature in any way and is just a walking distance away from the bungalow. (do speak to our cook Chamara who can organize a tour guide as well as arrange a picnic )
