Nature vacation in a 17th century stone barn.

"CHOKOKO BORDA" is an old barn renovated in the so typical Basque style .
Located in the village of Arnéguy at the border with Spain, in the hamlet of Ondarolle, 3kms from the village center and the famous Spanish ventas and 12kms from St Jean Pied de Port, where you will find all shops and services. Access is by a lovely mountain road that will surprise you for its narrowness but is nonetheless a departmental (No. 128).
You can reach the Spanish village of Valcarlos walk by a small bridge used by walkers of St Jacques de Compostela and spanning the Nive Arnéguy that will make the delight of fishermen.
It is the ideal starting point for many outdoor activities, hiking, fishing, mushroom picking in season ...
This independent cottage is located 30 meters from the owners house and occupies the entire floor of 60sqm plus a covered 18m² terrace. The ground floor is used for storage for garden furniture and also to store fishing equipment, bicycles etc ...
It accommodates up to 5 people and consists of:
-A Large living room with lounge and TV, an open space fully equipped kitchen: Mixed hob (gas / electricity), hood, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, and all the small appliances basic and most common household linen and maintenance products utensils.
This piece offers a wide view of the mountains and a wood stove will provide you the warmth and particular of a wood fire in addition to electric heaters (see consumer package on the contract). During the winter, the wood is offered (reasonable amount).
-A First room has a bed of 140cm and the second with a bed of 90cm plus two bunk beds.
All beds have mattress covers, pillows, blankets or quilts (for beds of 90cm).
Provide covers 140x200cm size quilts for bunk beds and single bed and the size of 50x70cm for pillowcases.
Bed linen can be provided on request (fixed price 40 € / week for 4 beds) and towels (flat rate of € 25 / week for 5 people).
-A Bathroom with a large shower, sink and washing machine.
-a separate toilet.

Outside, you have a garden furniture on the covered terrace, a barbecue, private parking and wooded area around the barn with access to the forest.

Nous sommes venus en famille dans ce magnifique gite. Nous ybavons trouve tout ce dont nous avions besoin et ce malgré une météo diluvienne. Les hotes sont dans un accueil et une posture parfaite pour nous sentir bien. Nous recommandons fortement pour les amoureux de la montagne et de la campagne. Merci

Un lieu pour des vacances reposantes !
Une belle location dans un cadre calme et verdoyant ! Il ne faut juste pas craindre la route un peu étroite et pentue. Possibilité de faire de belles randonnées au pied du col de Roncevaux et découvrir St Jean Pied de Port , Espelette etc ! C’est vraiment une très belle région !

Super séjour
Si on oubli la difficulté d'accès (route très étroite), le lieu est magnifique, très calme. Il y a des randonnées à faire, mais il nous a manqué un peu de chemins juste pour une petite balade autours de la maison. Les propriétaires très sympas et discrets. Ce fut un très agréable séjour.
