Fabulous - would come back again

We had a great stay. The apartment is very modern inside an old historic building, looking out at the village square. Everything you need is here for your stay. We stayed 3 nights, but easily could have been 30 days it was so comfortable. Tastefully decorated. Easy to get in and out of, parking easy and near by & safe. Wonderful to stay in the heart of a historic village. Terrace is lovely at night for a glass of wine and listening to the light bustle of people. Our host went beyond our expectations for check in and check out. A great location for all kinds of sightseeing away from some busier areas. Lots of choices for dining out, grocery near by to eat in, kitchen fitted with all you would require. Washroom, shower, tub, top notch, bed comfy. Sparkling clean. Great Internet service. We were very happy with our stay - just wished we chose to stay a bit longer, was a nice break on our Euro road trip from Canada.

Great home and super location

Isabelle was a wonderful host and provided a beautiful home for our 5 day stay. The home was modern and clean and had everything we needed. For me the location was perfect to do wine tasting and site seeing in Strasbourg. As well, Obernai itself is really a cute town. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable Isabelle! Doug and Antoinette

Beautiful and Modern And Just Perfect!

This place is one of a kind in France and Europe, and we felt so blessed to have been able to stay there. Isabelle’s hospitality was amazing and gracious. She met us at the front of the building and showed us where to park for free (Bastille Day free parking) and where the local grocery store was. The apartment itself was so tastefully decorated—modern but charming and quaint. We loved the huge shower and beautiful bathroom, the adorable kid’s room fully stocked with toys for the kids, and the air conditioning in the bedrooms (Oh, did we love that!). We also loved the very modern kitchen with all the cookware we needed and a large refrigerator. Isabelle even had a bottle of wine and muffins for us. Below the apartment is a wonderful bakery, and within a two-minute walk you can go to a large souvenir shop and another bakery. The grocery store was a 2-3 minute drive or a 10-minute walk. Obernai is a charming town about 45 minutes from both Strasbourg and the smaller Alsatian villages near Colmar. It only took 45 minutes to get to Colmar and the other villages because of road construction. I think normally it would be closer to 35 minutes. We had such a wonderful time and were fortunate enough to be there during the final game of the World Cup, so we really enjoyed being on the main square and seeing all the locals celebrating. Thank you, Isabelle, for making my birthday celebration so wonderful, and we hope to come back and stay with you again!
