Weather-proof your vacation! The Gathering House was built for family gatherings in Bear Lake. Large private heated indoor pool with18 person hot tub! Great Room for meals, movies, or games. Full modern kitchen. Four family bedrooms, and 3 baths with a large shared vanity area. Mobility-impaired friendly, with an entrance ramp, wide doorways, and a low-step shower. Lawn space and fire pit. Lots of recreation in the valley and just 20 minutes to North Beach at beautiful Bear Lake!

Having a reunion? Group gathering? We've got you covered! The Great Room is perfect for group meals, game nights, movie nights with 120" projector image, and even mother-in-law enforced sing-alongs at the piano! Designed as a fully flexible space to meet the needs of your large group.

You'll enjoy 4 private family bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with a shared vanity space, a full kitchen, and laundry. Extra sleeping options are available with 10 adult-sized cots you can set up in common areas.

We have a huge yard with space for lawn games, meals using the onsite grill, and fire pit gatherings.

Let's talk about the pool room....this pool-only room at the back of the house is secured by mutiple safety features including being fully lockable. The large heated indoor pool with turbo twister slide and 18 person spa keeps you playing even if the weather changes. We think you'll love it!

No flushable wipes. Eat only in Great Room or outside. Before check-out, basic clean-up tasks are listed in house book. Check-out time is 11 am.

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!!!

This property, appropriately named The Gathering House, was absolutely perfect for our family vacation. The spacious great room combined the kitchen, dining area, living room and relaxing area to let everyone do their own thing yet all be together to enjoy each other’s company. The bedrooms were perfect for those with young kids. The large pool with slide was the highlight for everyone. Also, the beautiful landscaping was a great backdrop for our family photos. Can’t go wrong with this place.

Fantastic

We loved the house. The AC works great on hot days. The children made great use of the pool. We like the safety features of having codes on the doors and an automatic pool cover. The pictures do not do it justice everything is better than you expect. Thank you for the home and excellent communication and service.

Fun Family Time

Our family loves staying at this property. This is our third year. The layout is very family-friendly. We love that the swimming pool is just off of the big great room. It is easy to keep an eye on the pool and yet have great interactions going on in the great room at the same time. The kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and laundry room are well-supplied to meet all our needs. The owners are great people to work with. They are very personable and helpful. As one of our little grandsons says, "When do we get to go back to the 'Christmas Cabin'"? It is one of our favorite destinations for fun family time.

Had a great time at this rental.

Loved the open floor concept, indoor pool and slide. Had fin with the piano/organ. Wish there was at least 1 more bedroom. Wish there was a bathroom in the pool area so people wouldn’t get the general area floor wet. But overall loved it and would most likely rent it again.

Why a poolhouse? We live next door. We had a lot of kids. Then they had a lot of kids. So, we built a pool house next to our house so we could all keep coming home. It’s pretty awesome. It has a pool. It’s 20 minutes to North Beach at Bear Lake. It can sleep up to 28 people in beds. ($10 additional per night for each of up to 10 more cot/couch sleepers.)

Why they chose this property

We live in a rural mountain valley in southeast Idaho. I came to Idaho when I married my husband, a cattle rancher. We have raised 7 kids here- a fabulous place to grow up. Now I want my 24 grandchildren to enjoy this beautiful country life, too. When they aren't able to, we want to share The Gathering House with you!

What makes this property unique

The indoor private pool gives you so much flexibility for your vacation/reunion... When it gets dark at night, you can still swim. Bad weather? You can still swim. Movie theater and bowling alley just 4 miles away. Or, project your own 120" image on the wall right at the house after the little ones are put to bed. Check this place out. We think you'll love it!
