About this property

A great summer site for golf, hiking, antiques and a wide variety of restaurants in cool mountain settings. Sky Valley opened over 40 years ago. It is the highest course in Georgia and in the dog days of summer, it is significantly cooler than courses elsewhere in the state.

In 2007 a major renovation and redesign were completed by noted course designer, Bill Bergin who also renovated Augusta National.

The base of the valley is 3,000. This golf course condo is surrounded by beautiful mountains with great walking trails and a few fishing ponds.

Shopping and fine dining are enjoyed in the famous tourist destination of Highlands, NC; only 20 minutes away. Antiques are abundant in several nearby towns. Franklin, NC offers all the expectations of a small Appalachian town along with panning for jewels. It is an easy drive just 30 minutes away.

I loved this property! It made our vacation. It is located in a cute golfing resort. I loved having a kitchen (although one of the stove burners was not working) and wash machine/dryer, but my favorite feature was the fire place. My only real complaint was checking in and checking out. Checking in was a little annoying because the email sent to me said there would be a key in a certain place and it wasn't there. Luckily, I was able to contact the sweet owner who got someone to let us in. But the part that really ticked me off was the check out. I got an email that clearly stated check in was 4:00 pm and check out was 11:00 am. At 9:30 am someone starts opening up the front door without even knocking. I wasn't dressed and the fact the locked door started opening scared the HELL out of me. I kind of yelled and the door shut. I looked out the the window and saw a cleaning lady and assumed it was her. I was in the shower when the door knocked this time at 9:50 am. The person I was with answered it and said a rude bald guy told him we were suppose to be out by 10:00 am. He told the rude man we were in the process of packing up and that the email said 11 am checkout. We were out of there by 10:15 am but I was pretty pissed off that I felt like I couldn't finish getting dressed. I had to fly out that day. I left with soaking wet hair that I didn't get to blow dry out and I had to take my damp clothes out of the dryer and put them in my suitcase still wet. Very Frustrating!!!!!!!
