Disney World Family Vacation
Group: Family (4 adults, 2 teenagers and 4 year old).
Duration: 2 weeks
Overall impression: Big house that accommodated all of our family "comfortably" but everything felt cheap, bare-bones and the house showed wear and tear. We also had noisy neighbors that threw parties on the weekends (including incredibly loud music until 3am and setting off fireworks).
Cleanliness - Surface clean (counters, floors, sinks, toilets , etc were fine). Windows were dirty (smudges, handprints) and window sills were grimy. Cobwebs in a lot of corners
Noise/Security - NOISY on Friday and Saturday nights with parties playing loud music, yelling and setting off fireworks until 3AM. Property manager gave me the number to security that didnt' work. My husband drove down to the security booth at the entrance of the property and reported the neighbors. The music was turned down an hour later. We ended up calling security for 3 different days for the same issue.
Check-in/Check-out
I didn’t receive any check-in instructions until I emailed the property manager the day before we were set to arrive. I was honestly starting to feel like we may have gotten scammed and with thousands of dollars already paid, it was nerve-wracking. It would go along way if they sent them out 3-4 days ahead of time.
Be sure to ask to get your names added to the list for security. Without that list they wouldn’t have let us in. If I wouldn’t have asked we could have had a hard time getting in once we got there.
Bed/Bath #1 - Queen size bedroom downstairs with a bathroom next to it. Mattress was as hard as rock, not real high quality and sheets were as thin as paper. The bath/shower filled with water while taking a shower.
Bed/Bath #2 - Mickey themed with worn cubby. Screws are exposed on the top and particle board is chipped away. Bathroom has a door that leads outside to the POOL. There are no additional locks up high, so if your child is old enough to unlock a door, they could open it. That being said, there is a pool fence set up. It baffles me that this suite was set up as a child’s room especially since it has an exterior door.
Kitchen - The dishwasher didn’t work. Contacted mgmt to fix but no one ever came out.
Family room - sectional and area rug was dirty and stained couch pieces kept coming apart. Blinds on slider constantly fell down and many had broken tabs.
Overall, spacious house but would not use again and would not recommend to anyone.
