About this property

The Old St. Pat's Schoolhouse

This more than a century old school house is so cool that we couldn't stop ourselves from buying it despite of all the fixing up it needs! You will be staying in a 1500sqft apartment with brand new carpet and furniture. It contains a kitchen, dining table for up to 8 or 10, living room, master suit with its own bathroom and one additional bedroom and bathroom, as well as a laundry room. This is a nice countryside getaway spot, located in the middle of Green Bay, Appleton, and Manitowoc.
You will be given a digital code to enter the front entrance, and your apartment is just a few steps up, and to the right.
There're two apartments in the building, we live in the other one but have our own entrance and can let you have all the privacy you need, but if you do need our assistance we will be right here to help. Most of the basement remains the same layout from when it was used as a school, except one of the classrooms was converted into a garage. The top floor is just one big open room. Please don't try to go down to the basement and other parts of the building since there are areas that still need work, but we are happy to give you a tour of the whole building if you're interested. There's plenty street parking in front of building as well.
We have increased our cleaning fee recently. To ensure your health and safety we have adopted a higher standard for cleanness including disinfecting all surfaces before and after each group of guest. These practices have increased our cleaning time and costs in cleaning products.

~Please don't go down to the basement or upstairs.
~No events or parties are allowed on the property.
~No visitors allowed without permission from the host. Please don't leave children under 18 years old on the property without adult supervision.
~Pets are not allow on the property.
~Please take a second to wipe your feet coming inside the house, door mats are placed at every entrance.
~Dishwasher is out of order. Please clean the pots, pans, dishes and silverware after using them.
~Two foldable chairs are stored inside laundry room, please feel free to use them when needed.
~Please take the sheets and pillow cases off the beds you used and leave them in the laundry room.
~Please place used towels in the laundry room before checking out.
~There are in-wall heaters in each room, feel free to turn them on. Please turn them off when you leave the house.
We don't have air conditioning. The thick brick walls keep the building cool, on hot summer days our family can be quite comfortable with fans on or windows open. If you prefer it really cool in the summer this may not be a suitable place for you. Fans are provided in every room.
~Please make sure the sliding glass door is locked from inside before leaving the house.
~Please lock up the front entry door when leaving. To lock it, just press the button on top of the key pad, and turn the knob to lock.
~You can find extra blankets and towels in the closet of the bunk beds room.
~Afghan blankets are stored inside the blue round stools in living room.
~Our well is tested every year. The tap water is potable.
~Wifi password is on the table of the front entryway, for best wifi connection please make sure to log on to the Mercury network ending with ext.
~ We don't have cable TV, but dvd player and some movies are provided. You can only access Netflix, Prime, Hulu, or other services you have your own subscription to on TV.
~ Coffee maker is available, but coffee is not provided.
~ One hair dryer is provided, you can find it in the left hand drawer in master bathroom. Iron and ironing board are inside master bedroom closet.

Delightful historic property
We loved our stay at the Old St. Pat's Schoolhouse. It was quiet, clean, and fit exactly what we wanted for a weekend trip to the area.

Lambeau experience
Four of us women, all over 70, flew to Milwaukee and drove up to the house. We drove up to Green Bay for the Seahawks/Packers game. Sadly our Seahawks lost but the trip was great. The only issue we had was navigating using my phone. The house was great! We enjoyed walking around the grounds and checking out the cemetery. Highly recommend it if going to a game. We took the free shuttle bus from the East Town Mall in Green Bay to Lambeau And saved a lot of hassle with parking.

Air venture adventure!
We stayed at this lovely place during Oshkosh 2021 and found it to be peaceful and relaxing. Nice place to slow down and breathe from the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives.

Quiet country setting
The property was extremely spacious & well kept. It was out in the country & very peaceful. The history of the church & school was interesting also. The dishwasher was out of order which would have been nice to know ahead of time but not a big deal. The ice maker was not hooked up either. That's why we gave a 4 star rating. But the beds were really comfortable. We will definetely stay here again!
