Nice, family friendly home

We enjoyed the family time that this house afforded us. The house has a lot of character, and it is located in a beautiful neighborhood. It was clean and comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The property manager was very positive and kind in his communication with us.

House with character, but really needs updating!

First of all, the master bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever had in a VRBO or hotel. The house has character and has lots of space. However, there isn't a great deal of comfortable seating or a large area to congregate, except around the dining table. It was challenging to find outlets in the bedrooms. Most of them were tucked behind the beds to where you had to move the bed completely away from the wall to reach them. The bathrooms were extremely cramped and old. There was only one shower on the main sleeping floor and it did not work properly. The master bath only had an antique tub that was difficult to fill and only had a hand-held shower head for bathing or showering while sitting. The entire house was not very clean. We found trash throughout the house and dirty utensils and cutlery in the drawers. There were cleaning rags left hanging in one of the bathrooms and we found a dirty pan in the oven. There were half-eaten ice cream pints left in the freezer. Lastly, the heat did not work properly, so we pretty much stayed cold the entire time. The hosts were very apologetic about the cleaning situation and offered to have someone come and re-clean it, but we were already in the house and picked up as we went. Overall, I would not choose to stay here again, but the hosts seemed very responsive and were willing to resolve any issues.
