We loved the house and location. Great Canal front location. Easy to get to, quiet area and close to everything we needed. I will say the reason I rated the place at just three stars was because of a couple of things. First. Even though there were two TVs in the house. (One in the main living area and one in the downstairs area) There was NO CABLE. We had WiFi and the main area TV was a Smart TV but it would not connect to the internet. It would connect to the Wifi but that was as far as it would let you get. Not really sure if the owners had it blocked some sort of way but it was a bit frustrating to not be able to use my own Prime membership to access programing. There was a DVD/VCR combo unit and we did rent some movies at RedBox but the DVD player seemed a bit old and was very glitchy in it's playback. (Freezing/Skipping forward a lot) We only stayed a few days so it was not a deal breaker but someone looking to rent for a week or more may find this a bigger problem. The other issue we had was the beds were very hard! Some may like a very firm mattress but these were really tough to get comfortable in and get a good nights sleep. I would love to rent this place again but knowing now what I do, if these issues weren't addressed I would probably look at another place. Their description of the property does lead one to believe that at least you would have Basic Cable and at some point looking at all the un hooked wires I'm sure there was. Hopefully the owners will address these things or at least change the description to let people know about the entertainment situation.
