About this property

New tiny house build by an American with 20 years construction experience inside of the Refugio del Volcan. Gas hot water, Netflix, router in the casita with fiber optic internet as well as internet in the common areas. Queen bed, kitchen, patio with a hammock and dining area. Access to fire pit/barbecue area, pavillion, garden full of fruits and veggies, yard games, etc. Five minutes from town in tuc tuc or 15 minutes walking. Very quiet area surrounded by farms but very close to the lakeshore. Tuc tucs run 6am to 10 pm and cost 5q per person, more after 10pm. House wines, beer, and purified water available.

I bought this land in 2018 and have built it all pretty much myself. As of 2021 there are over 29,000 concrete blocks here! There are 5 tiny houses and a Bell tent, a pavillion, 2 laundry areas, yard games, a small winery which produces wine from our passion fruit, strawberries, black raspberries, Rosa de Jamaica, and anything else that ferments into delicious goodness.

After traveling dozens of countries and staying in thousands of guest houses, I have combined my lifetime of construction experience building custom and speculation houses with my passion of travel and have built what I think is the perfect b and b in an amazingly beautiful corner of our world that I now call home. High standards of construction, privacy between units and amazing views make the Refugio really special.
