About this property

Mid century home with cool vibe near FSU, FAMU and Florida's State Capitol

Gorgeous views, large lushly landscaped yard, great walking area with trails, 2 parks within walking distance. This unassuming home is loaded with character. Renovations modernize it but charm remains. The home features a beautiful kitchen as a focal point with an adjacent great room. A gorgeous sun room overlooks the back yard though an oversized picture window. It's a favorite spot in the home with a large dining table that seats up to 12 guests. Just outside of the sunroom is a private terrace. 3 bedrooms and 2 baths complete the first level. The surprise is the 750sf renovated basement. Features 3 oversized windows, a large workspace, 70" Smart TV, 2 futons and a beautiful fireplace. The laundry room has french doors that allow natural light into the space and it has a small refrigerator and microwave for use as well. 2 doors to access the spacious patio and back yard. The patio has ample seating and 2 hammock swings. There is a canal that runs behind the house and old school clothes line (not used). Ample parking in the front yard due to a deep drive way and large yard. I fell for the house in its original condition and saw a diamond n the rough! Fully renovated now it's an amazing space with several gathering areas both inside and outside. It's a perfect multigenerational space, gathering spot for group of friends. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, so if your group is noisy, this home may not be the best choice.

Family FSU trip
Stayed at this home with my family for an FSU football weekend and it was perfect for our big group! Plenty of room to hang out in the living room, outside in the yard, and enough space to spread out to sleep comfortable. Bathrooms were clean, modern and spacious as well. Location was awesome; about 10-15 from FSU campus but far enough from noisy/busy college student area. Close to restaurants and shopping. We loved our time here and would stay again in the future!

Graduation Stay
What a wonderfully home for my family during our Sons Graduation. 12 mins from campus and from close to all the great places to eat. House just needs a 3rd bathroom downstairs for all the people staying.

Tally times
This house suited our family for the purpose of the weekend. We were in town for a graduation and wanted a place for our big family to stay. Overall, this is a great property. They made some updates on the house. It did seem as though it isn’t finished. Although, we loved the big picture window looking into the woods in the backyard from the sunroom! The kitchen was stocked enough. Plenty of glasses and plates. Toaster and coffee maker. Pots, pans, and utensils. There were a few extra rolls of toilet paper and paper towels, which was nice. No soaps in the showers, which is fine. Plenty of hand soap. The only thing my group unanimously said was regarding the quality of the towels. They were very thin and did not absorb the water at all. I wish they would get better towels for future guests. There were just enough for the group and we were thankful for the washer and dryer. We will likely book this place for the next graduation. (Hopefully, they’ll have better towels by then!)

Hi there! Thank you for considering our home. It was built in the late 1950s but recently renovated with attention to detail. I am a professional realtor for over 25 years. I enjoy home renovation. This home is one of two properties my husband and I own and manage as a short term rental. We welcome your family and want you to feel safe, at ease and comfortable. We welcome your sincere feedback on ways we can enhance your stay and comfort. Thank you again for your interest.

Why they chose this property

This property is a great choice for several reasons. First its style is unique. There's a connection to it right away. It's the kind of place that you like better than you expect to. So many areas to gather together and personal areas for private moments. Enjoy the nature of the trees, birds, butterflies and squirrels. Take a walk about the neighborhood. Enjoy one of the parks and amenities nearby. The location is close to the area's Universities and the State Capitol.

What makes this property unique

The construction of this home is quite unique. It was built in 1950s and charm is apparent. It even has a bunker (locked to guests), which is unique to a few of the homes in the neighborhood. There are an abundance of mature trees that provide shading and keeps the house a bit cooler in the warmer months. The neighborhood is quite eclectic- nothing cookie cutter here! Each home is unique. Enjoy walking/running about, but be careful because the streets are tricky and one can easily get lost. I think one of the reasons the neighborhood is so safe is that people and motorists can't find there way around so they avoid the area... a huge plus!
