Bath is a town steeped in history. Famous for being the first incorporated town in North Carolina, it retains an old world charm that allows you to take a step back in time, while enjoying the modern conveniences of today. Sailboats anchored in Bath Creek rise and fall with the ebb and flow of the water stretching out toward the Pamlico River and that same peaceful cove that offered harbor to early natives and settlers welcomes people today.

Beautiful cottage, everything you need!

Loved eveything about it: beautiful clean interior, fishing dock, and pool. Great hosts, great stay!

Overall a nice property

We had a very nice relaxing stay. There were a few things that were slightly inaccurate in the description. It is 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds as pictured, not 3 queens as in the description. Two of the bathrooms had tub/shower and 1 was just a shower. The description said 3 tub/shower combos. There is a nice boathouse and lift, however you can not use it. You have to tie your boat up to the outside of it. The power is turned off to the dock so I couldn't charge my boat batteries, however, I asked the owner and they promptly came down and got me extension cords. The river is pretty, but loaded with jellyfish, which made the pool worth its weight in gold. The outdoor and sunroom furniture was a little worse for the wear. Now for the good. The pool was fantastic. We spent hours in it and it was very enjoyable. The sunroom was great for morning coffee overlooking the water. The hosts were very responsive and communicated well. We would definitely consider coming back another time. I would have actually given it a 4.5 star if I could.

Peaceful weekend getaway

We stayed over Memorial weekend and it was exactly what we were looking for - a beautiful, peaceful family getaway. It's the perfect place to unwind and take in the beauty of the area. The views and pool are amazing, and I loved sitting in the sunroom with coffee in the morning. Maree is a gracious host and supplies everything you need to enjoy your stay. We look forward to returning soon!

Relaxing little town!

This home on the water is beautiful with a relaxing atmosphere. Pool to enjoy for kids and fishing for the husbands. All around everything for everyone!

My name is Maree and I was born and raised in Ireland, met my husband while we were both stationed in Germany. We discovered Bath in 2015 by accident but one we will never regret. You drive over the bridge and it seems you leave your troubles on the other side. There is no such thing as a stranger in Bath. Everyone has time, neighbors become fast friends and a stroll around the town of 10 mins often stretches to 40 mins as catching up with everyone, be you a visitor or resident is a requirement!

The pool, the pier, outdoor spaces and the uniqueness of this log home on the water make this a wonderful vacation spot at any time of the year. Summertime we enjoy the outdoor spaces. Wintertime it is the log fire. The home is located in Bath NC which is steeped in history, has retained its original charm and was the home of the notorious Pirate Blackbeard.
