Absolutely Amazing!
Perfect hosts and so hospitable! They went above and beyond with us! This is not a stripped down place. Every where you look there's something rustic or homey or equestrian. They spent so much attention to detail, even cutting logs & kindling for the cabins. The property alone is amazing. It's adjacent to the National Forrest that gives so many opportunities to play. I will be back and feel so happy I met them!

I traveled to this part of the country years ago on a camping trip. I fell in love with the area. As an avid nature enthusiast the BSF National River and Recreation Area has it all. I have completed the entire Appalachian trail, the Colorado trail and the Inca trail as well as segments of many others. The diversity right out my back door here is a dream come true. I have ran in several ultra trail runs, kayaked the Big South Fork River, backpacked from the southern terminus of the park to the northern terminus and rode my horse across miles and miles of trails.
I wanted to open a resort on the border of the BSF to share it with others. Once my husband and I found this property we built our dream one plank at a time. Our little resort has two rental cabins and a hiker hostel barn loft. What better way to live life. One adventure at a time.

Why they chose this property

Blair Creek Resort LLC is located at the edge of the beautiful Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area in South East, Kentucky. The geographical location of our resort allows access to hundreds of miles of trails for hiking, fishing, rafting, rock climbing and mountain biking. We are devoted to accommodate your needs and cater to fellow nature enthusiast. Our lodging facilities provide a home away from home for all outdoor enthusiasts and for those that want to just get away and relax in quit seclusion. You can learn more about the Big South Fork at http://www.bigsouthforkpark.com. The resort is located on the border of the BSF along the bank of Blair Creek.

What makes this property unique

Our resort has 1300 to 1500 square foot wood cabins on the banks of Blair Creek. The setting of each cabin is beautifully tucked in the woods. Every two story cabin includes a TV with DVD player, a modern day fully equiped kitchen, full bathroom with jet jacuzzi, shower, washer and dryer, large outside porch with gas grill, fire pit, large living room with gas fireplace, and three bedrooms on second floor, two enclosed with saloon doors and one open bunk, with an adjoining sitting room with open rails looking down into the family room.
All one has to do is cross the creek and enter the BSF to enjoy miles and miles of trails or visit an old coal mining camp. Maybe ride a coal train or paddle down the river. If you love the outdoors this is the place for you.
