We loved everything about this stay. We had a 1 year old and a 4 year old and the house and location was perfect. Would definitely stay again if in the area, highly recommended!

Perfect accommodation
Not only was the owner easy to communicate with, but the house had everything we might need. From beach towels, to a well stocked kitchen, and wood for the backyard fire pit. We truly appreciated finding this home in Brunswick. We would DEFINITELY consider staying at this house again.

Beautiful place to stay
This house is beautiful inside and out, it is comfortable and very equipped. It is ideal for families with young children as there is a well equipped playroom, back yard and playground across the street. It is well located, close to downtown brunswick and easy connection to the highway. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy Maine.

About the host

Hosted by Chris Marine

Host profile image
My wife Elise and I grew up in Cumberland, Maine and while we traveled to California and Boston, the untouchable Maine summers pulled us back home. We both attended University of Southern Maine and now work in the media industry and early childhood development. We have two boys and you'll often find us on the water exploring the islands of nearby Casco Bay, discovering the gems of midcoast and Downeast Maine, or spending time with family in the Ft. Myers area of Florida.

We began hosting in 2022 because we have had incredible experiences traveling abroad, and we wanted to share this incredible piece of Maine culture that we're lucky enough to call home with the world.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Brunswick because of it's small town Americana feel while offering unique restaurants, shops and entertainment. It's not rare to walk down in the center of town and hear a band playing in the gazebo draped in the American flag, or food trucks pulled up for lunch in the center green. We first discovered Brunswick's charm when seeing the Broadway style performances at Maine State Music Theatre. As we spent more time in the Freeport/Brunswick/Bath area we loved it's proximity to Portland and the Midcoast. We found that here - you're in the middle of Maine's best coastal cities and towns.

What makes this property unique

The house has an updated traditional Cape Cod style. The kitchen and entertaining is located in the back of the house while the sitting room, family room and kids play room are in the front. Kids can sleep upstairs while game nights commence in the kitchen/dining area without worry of disturbing those who prefer an earlier night. There is a playground and park across the street for kids, the Bowdoin College campus is less than a half mile down the street (5-8 minute walk) which has a museum with artifacts dating back to the 15th century and home of the Pickard Theater where Maine State Music Theatre sings all summer long. Just beyond the campus is downtown Brunswick.
