About this property

Range Views - Sleeps 6, Firepit, Hot Tub

Just the name Range Views speaks the language of this home with its unique look out onto the beauty that makes the Great Smokies unique. This amazing 2 bedroom (plus sleeping loft!), 2 bath, handsomely crafted log home is located strategically behind the Maggie Valley Club and Resort, allowing for the best of both worlds – privacy and mountain living with golf course proximity. Soak in the stunning mountain views from an extensive wrap around deck, where morning or evening, you can enjoy rocking your cares away. For a little more engaging deck time, find yourself in the large round four-person hot tub where the smell of the adjacent charcoal grill wafts through the cool mountain air. Just steps away is a rock patio and firepit where everyone will enjoy recalling the adventures of the day under the stars.

Once inside, you’ll appreciate the large open living space complete with stone gas log fireplace, massive accent beams, custom tongue and groove cathedral ceilings and a wall of almost floor to ceiling windows. The open kitchen features the clean look of quartz counter tops and stainless-steel appliances. See yourself seated around the adjacent dining room, enjoying a family meal or fun filled evening of board games or cards. The master bedroom and master bath are located on the main floor as well, with the master bath connecting to the main living area. Wide stairs lead to the large open loft overlooking the main living area and includes two twin beds for additional sleeping space. A queen bed and second full bath are located in the lower level sleeping area as well. A family TV room is also located there. This property comes equipped with washer/dryer, central heat and A/C, Wifi, Apple and Smart TV with loads of apps, Spectrum cable, gas fireplace, hot tub, firepit, and charcoal grill.

Please note this property is not pet friendly. Unauthorized pets on property will incur a $300 per pet penalty. Approach to the home is fully paved and moderately steep. The driveway is gravel. AWD/4-wheel drive would be required in the winter months when snow or ice events occur.

Range Views is only a few minutes’ drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on the History Channel's “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In about 25 minutes, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.

This home is about a 35 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah's Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah's has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).

A little more than 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.

Approximately, 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under 1 hour 35 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).

June weekend
Cabin is nice, clean, and had everything we needed. Many rentals have beat up furnishings, but this one had quality, clean furniture. The owners take good care of it. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice getaway
Nice place for a small family or two couples to get away to. Easy to get to close to most everything. Nice loft up top if you have some kids with you as well. Only issue we had is no trash pickup and dump doesn’t operate on sundays or before 7am weekdays. We left at 6am Monday and had to carry our trash to a rest area like RV folk. Other than that all good! Will stay again.
