Pet Policy: we allow up to 2 dogs at this property. Tenant shall remit to Host a pet fee in the amount of Fifty and No/100 Dollars ($50.00) per permitted pet on the Premises for each night(s) rented, which is due and payable at the same time and by the same method as Tenant’s payment of Rent. We ask that you keep your dogs off of furniture, don't leave them unattended at the house and clean up any waste.
Please note: The house does have WiFi, however, due to the secluded setting of the property, we are limited to satellite service which can be finicky, especially in inclement weather. We normally test at speeds of 15 MB down and 2 MB up which is within zooms requirements.
Only 12 miles from Hocking Hills State Park, 5 miles from Cantwell Cliffs, 8 miles from Rock House trail -- there are endless activities in this area. To name a few: zip-lining & canopy tours, canoeing trips, hiking & biking trails, fishing, and horseback riding. There are also several local shops, restaurants, breweries, scenic tours and the John Glenn Astronomy Park.
Inside, we invite you to enjoy all the love and coziness of a small home and close quarters. Still room for eight at the dinner table. With a gas fireplace for the winter, and an “all glass” garage door with access to the rooftop patio for summer cocktails and sunbathing, we’ve got you covered.
Outside, you have all 18.5 acres to hike and explore close by or simply sit out and enjoy the scenes of nature. Cook on the gas grill or cuddle up on the couch around the gas fire table. After a long day of hiking, relax in the 6-person hot tub nestled among the trees.
We truly want you to enjoy every aspect and experience of simple living, nature and rest. As hosts, we will do everything in our power to serve you to the best of our ability. We are always available for questions or concerns. We welcome you with open arms and pray for much love, peace and enjoyment at The Box Hop.
To note: the driveway is a long gravel driveway that has a few steep spots and turns. The parking area is situated about 150 feet from the house with a walking path to the front door.
