Disappointing Rental

I regret to say that our experience at this vacation rental was far from satisfactory. Despite our anticipation for a relaxing family getaway, our hopes were quickly dashed by a litany of disappointments: Appliance Nightmares: The broken dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer were not just inconveniences; they were major disruptions to our vacation. We expected functional appliances to make our stay comfortable, not to spend our time troubleshooting or handwashing clothes. Hygiene Hazards: Discovering a filthy washing machine upon arrival was utterly unacceptable. Being told not to wash clothes and resorting to drying them on space heaters is not only impractical but also unhygienic. Guests shouldn't be expected to live with subpar cleanliness standards. Unwelcome Surprises: Walking into the rental to find dirty dishes, glasses, and a half-drank coffee mug is a surefire way to set a negative tone for our stay. It's basic hospitality to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for guests, something this property sorely lacked. Green Gunk and Broken Glass: The state of the hot tub was downright revolting. A deep green color is not what one expects when looking forward to a relaxing soak. Furthermore, the presence of broken glass around the hot tub, especially where children could be barefoot, is a safety hazard of the highest order. Inadequate Solutions: The response from the property owner to simply run the jets in the hot tub was both dismissive and ineffective. It's evident

Cabin was extremely tidy and well-maintained! Fireplace was missing firestarter but owner reimbursed us for it. Wonderful amenities, great location, beautiful cabin!

Awesome stay at Morgan's place. Cabin is very cozy and beautiful. It has everything you need to make your stay hustle free. Communication with owner is fast and easy. Great location too! Minutes away from stores, gas stations, lake, etc. Will definitely book this place again!

perfect for wedding at Gold Mountain Manor

Our stay was lovely- the Sorianos made everything clear and the property was steps from our wedding venue at Gold Mountain Manor. We'll be back ( but no more weddings)

I liked this cabin.

The cabin was cozy and clean. The kitchen had all the pots pans and utensils that I needed. The tv was big and had Netflix and Disney+. The bed was huge and had a very comfortable memory foam matress. Everything (like the heater, stove, internet) was easy to use and worked. I liked how the light switches were all labeled. When I messaged the owner with questions before our stay, they were friendly and responded fast. We had a great week here and nobody wanted to leave.

Hello! I'm Morgan and am so excited at the chance to host you! My fiance and I bought this Big Bear Cabin in late 2020 with plans to renovate and turn it into a dreamy cabin getaway. During 2021 we lived in Big Bear renovating the cabin and experiencing all of big bear (and might have spent way too much time snowboarding) - but we have lots of recs! We put so much time and effort into this vacation getaway, we hope you love it! We also love to travel and experience new places (especially with our dog, Rookie!) - so we love talking new places too!

Why they chose this property

When we saw this property, we instantly fell in love with the true "cabin" feel of this house. The wood panel throughout the house makes it feel like a true mountain getaway. During the holidays when it's snowing outside, it's the true definition of COZY.

This cabin has a recently updated kitchen and two bathrooms along with a newly installed hot tub so you can have a nature getaway without sacrificing any of the comfort. This cabin comfortably sleeps 6 and consists of: 1 king bed, 1 full bed, 2 twin beds, a futon that folds into a full bed and a sofa couch. There are two fireplaces, one wood burning and one pellet stove. The dining room seats 6 and the kitchen contains all materials needed to cook delicious meals. The kitchen has been recently renovated to give a modern, yet classic cabin look complete with a dishwasher. We have plenty of board games, puzzles, and books to keep the entertainment going for hours. The TV’s have all the main streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, HBO) along with Sling so you can watch live TV as well. The outdoor area has a hot tub, an outdoor dining table, a grill and benches surrounding a firepit. You’ll love going into the hot tub after a long day of adventures! This cabin is so warm and has everything you need, we’ve worked hard to build a great vacation home and hope you enjoy the space we put together!
