great location, great amenities, great house
The title says it all. The house was perfect for the 4 people in my group and definitely wouldn't have an issue adding in another couple or a few kids. the Buffalo Mountain Trailhead is about 100 yards away so no crazy amounts of road riding to get on trails. The owner could not have been more accommodating. Answered every question we had in short order. 10/10, will be back again!!

Billy Goat Mountain Village is owned and operated by Hootie & Christine Smith. A vision of providing luxury lodging and life-long memories to trail riders has been in the works for many years and the excitement of seeing a dream become reality is so exciting. We look forward to hosting your next stay. We try not only to meet your expectations but to EXCEED them! Come visit us in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia and make lasting memories with your family and friends!
We have lived on Buffalo Mountain for over 30 years. It was affectionally named Billy Goat Mountain in the past due to the extremely large herd of billy goats that populated the mountain stopping traffic and causing traffic to slow down just to get a look a them. Our girls thought that they owned them as pets especially since the goats would venture into the yard and eat the landscaping...we let them think that because they often provided entertainment for them. After many years, the goats have died off but the memory of the goats lives on here on the mountain. We love to ride the trails and look forward to hunting season every year.
