Great view but dated property
The positive. The property has a wonderful view of the lake. The location was perfect for us. We absolutely love that area. It is our go to choice when we stay in Tahoe. There was a usable wood fire place which was nice , specially on a snowy date. There was enough wood and the house was warm and comfortable. There was a nice washer ( but not usable dryer ) Nice toaster and coffee maker( no coffee though) Dog friendly was a big plus! Big windows The negative The house was pretty dated . The bathroom downstairs had only one lightbulb working out of 3 which made the bathroom very dark. The shower door in that bathroom had a 3M sticker hook used for holding Christmas lights. The dishwasher was incredibly loud ( and antique ) The dryer had not filter and was not usable. It is kind of important when staying for few days with kids and skying. Very limited or no toiletries ( shampoo, body etc) which we usually find when we rent. It was not a big deal for us as I had brought some but it could be useful for others. The fridge too was very dated with not handle ( only the freeze had one) once again not a big deal but it was part of the “dated feel” of the house . Finally the carpet downstairs could use a good shampooing. Although I appreciate the dog friendly feature of the house , I could also smell the pet odor when doing yoga. To summarize, the house is good for a short stay but could use a well needed upgrade ( handles on the fridge and downstairs bathroom. Working light etc)

Great Tahoe retreat
The home is well stocked, warm and inviting with plenty of space. It’s in a very good location, close to the lake and town. We had an excellent time.

Not the place you want to stay in Tahoe
The pictures of this home are very deceiving. It desperately needs a deep cleaning and is filled with dust, cobwebs, and stained carpets (to put it lightly). For the first 3 days, we had no wifi/internet/cable whatsoever and the 'local team', ie property managers, refused to ask Spectrum to bring a technician to the home and just kept telling us what Spectrum's voicemail told them. We kept being told 'this happens often near the lake' and that not having any internet was NOT a viable reason to be moved to another home. It's interesting they don't let you know any of that BEFORE renting the house. It's 2023, and everyone uses the internet 24/7. My fiance and I work remotely and almost half of our trip turned into rushing out every morning to a Starbucks that was almost 30 mins away to work during the day as well as communicating with Vacasa staff for help over and over. Internet aside, the house is pretty run down. Dollar Point is such a lovely area, so it's really a shame that the home owners don't get new bedding and at least do minor fixes like changing light bulbs and buying pans that are even remotely decent for cooking. Would not recommend this home at all.

Nice House and Great view
The house was great for my group of 8 and 9 would have been comfortable. There is a beautiful view of the lake and mountains from the front room. There is not walking access to the lake, as far as I could tell, but it is a short drive to many beaches and and shops.
