About this property

Newly remodeled, relaxing, private guest suite on 12 acres with panoramic mountain views and Montrose city lights below. Explore nearby San Juan mountains or Black Canyon and then relax in the movie room with a 75" 4K big screen and reclining chairs. A huge living space with plenty of room to spread out, and a large kitchen well stocked for cooking. Lots of room for bikes, kayaks, trailers, pets, and adventure toys. Miles of mountain bike trails out the front door. The entire lower level of the house is yours with your own entry, our family lives upstairs. Sometimes we are home, sometimes not. There are no shared spaces, you have the entire lower level guest suite to yourself and the house is very large. We are about 55 min to Ouray, 1hr 20 minutes to Telluride, 35 minutes to the Black Canyon, and 35 minutes to Ridgway. We do not have central A/C, normally it stays cool and is comfortable room temperature, we have 2 portable A/C cooling units that run off water if needed. In the winter we have cozy in-floor radiant heating.

PETS: Please try not to leave pets unattended while you are in town for more than an hour or two, many times they bark continuously. Keep them crated

QUIET HOURS: Please observe quiet hours from 10pm-7:30am, thank you! Absolutely no smoking of any kind inside the house please.

Worked out just fine.

No real issues. Had everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked, plenty of linens and towels. Movie room and fire pit were used often. Overall good experience 👍

Awesome place to stay!

We loved our stay here! Located only a short distance to Montrose and close to mountain hiking, biking, and 4 wheeling trails. Very clean and comfortable living space,equipped with everything we could need. We enjoyed chatting with owner who gave us option to check in on our own or he would greet us to show us around. Also suggested fun places to visit and eat in the area. The movie room was an added benefit that we made use of several times. Outdoor seating area with fire pit and basketball court were great too. We would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay for peace and quiet rest

This property is lovely and was perfect for us - located outside of town with beautiful views of mountains, sunsets and stars but just minutes away from great restaurants and everything else you need. We enjoyed downtime in the media room every evening. The home was furnished with everything we needed for our stay. Our host, Terry was there to greet us when we arrived and was available at anytime to answer questions.

Colorado visit

Property is quite a ways away from Montrose. Part of the house is not finished ( drywall, exposed insulation. There is no central air conditioning- 2 swamp coolers in L/R and M/B. Problematic in summer. Hosts were very accommodating and helpful.

Awesome location! We are 15 min to shopping and restaurants in Montrose, and 30 minutes to the San Juan mountains or Black Canyon National Park. We are 40 min to Ouray Hot Springs, and 1hr 15 minutes to world-famous Telluride Ski Resort. This is the perfect mountain house (on 12 acres) to serve as base camp for your family to relax after exploring the beauty of the mountains and rivers. The garden-level guest space is newly renovated, clean, comfy, well lit with a lot of windows, very spacious! (2,500 square feet), Spread out and relax in privacy, or enjoy the movie room together. If you are working on the road, we have the perfect office space. In-floor heating for the winter and cool lower-level temperatures in the summer. Every room has a ceiling fan. You have the entire bottom floor of the house to yourself with no shared space and the large open concept kitchen is perfect for cooking as a family. The bedrooms are large, comfy and all have walk-in closets. We have a huge mudroom for your furry friends with a doggie door and plenty of open space and trails to walk. Our family of 4 lives upstairs, we are a relatively quiet family and respectful of your privacy, you can hear us from time to time and we observe quiet hours from 10 pm -8 am. Please come check our place out!
