House, 3 Bedrooms + Bunk Area, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 10)
Our Family has owned this property since 1955. We built this home on the site of the original home in 1989. Three generations of our family continue to enjoy this unique home with wonderful views and lots of diverse spaces for all ages of family. We clam, swim, surf on the beach in front of us and spend hours hiking year round. Cannon Beach town is nearby to the north and just south of us is a darling general store, bakery and dining spots. Many parks like Ecola and Oswald West State park nearby for hiking, surfing, tide pool browsing......
Jami purchased this House in 1955
Why Jami chose Cannon Beach
This is our favorite place on earth. Our parents had the vision to buy the property in 1955 when the town was a sleepy village with two taverns, a bowling alley, a candy shop, grocery and butcher shop! Now its a darling town with many galleries, restaurants, shops, bookstores, toy stores, etc. Something for everyone in your family.
What makes this House unique
Our family ranges in ages from grandparents to babies. Our home is built to embrace each person visiting. There are spaces to relax in, read in, play in, cook in, dine in and wonderful spacious bedrooms to sleep in. A true renewal retreat in a lovely private neighborhood.

Wonderful family vacation
The house was perfect for our needs. We brought along my parents and gave them the master suite upstairs, while our family of 6 took over the basement level. There was plenty of space for everyone to unwind. We picked up fresh seafood along the coast on several outings and returned home to cook in the well-stocked kitchen. We also thoroughly enjoyed creating a fire and cooking s'mores on the beach one evening, and walking down to the tide pools at low tide. Proximity to the beautiful beach and downtown Cannon Beach were added benefits. We will definitely be back!
The house was perfect! The main living area was wonderful for 7 people to gather for meals, conversation and quiet corners to read. Jami graciously offered us another day because of the weather...so nice. We would come back.
Loren, thank you for the review! I am so glad the house accommodated your family perfect. Thank you for treating our home so lovely as well! Look froward to having you rent with us again!
Beautiful home, perfect location, our new Cannon Beach fave.
The house was stunning and the location couldn’t have been better. Enjoyed being so close to a surf spot which was the intent of our trip. 9 people stayed comfortably in the house and it was perfectly set up for us to be able to cook meals while playing games and watching movies.
TV is small, and the volume/DVD player was a little dated so it did make watching our annual traditional Point Break, Goonies medley a bit difficult. But a small complaint overall.
Great place and it’s definitely top of our list for our next trip!!
Thanks, Fiona! We are so glad you had a fabulous stay! Yes, we are considering a larger TV in the main room!
House was great, super close to Haystack Rock and great views to the south.
Will definitely go back next time we visit Oregon
Thanks, Jonathan! We are so glad you enjoyed the stay and the views - some of the best on the Oregon Coast!!
Great place to stay! Plenty of rooms and space. Nice quiet location just a few steps away from the beach. Kitchen was easy to cook in. Close to the city center. All of us would stay here again.
Best Beach House Ever!
This place is fabulous -- in all ways. It's located in a mellow, quiet, relaxed part of one of the nicest towns on the Oregon Coast, along one of the most stunningly beautiful -- yet uncrowded --beaches in the world.
The home is on a tiny little lane just steps from easy beach access and a fifteen minute stroll through more lovely lanes, with resident wild bunnies, to a local bakery, grocery store and historic pub.
The house is really large (even bigger than it seems in the photos) and can easily accommodates three couples plus kids, with plenty of private nooks for all. It has a well-appointed kitchen that looks out on a comfortable great room where we all hung out very happily. It also has fabulous deck spaces and a new gas grill, which we also thoroughly enjoyed.
The place feels like a real family home that has been enjoyed, maintained and equipped by people who truly love it. Our family loves it too, and felt so at home and relaxed and lucky to be there -- it was hard to leave. The owners were friendly, responsive and very easy to deal with. Highly recommended!
Short stroll 1 block down Tok Lane to beach access, miles of hiking south or north. Haystack Rock 3rd largest natural monolith in the world is a five minute beach walk, explore tide pools, ecological habitats. Village of Cannon Beach is a 20 minute beach walk; quaint shops, restaurants, beautiful landscaping.
