Be the first on the lake in the morning after sleeping in this charming boathouse located on Lake Lawtonka in the School House Slough. Unload your boat at the dock right across the inlet from the boathouse and tie it off on the back deck and be ready to go at any time. There is also a jet ski and golf cart available to rent at an additional fee. No boat but still want to try your hand at fishing?!?! Fish off the back deck while enjoying the shade! There are two kayaks in the boat slip that renters are allowed to use, along with multiple lifejackets. There is also a jet ski that can be rented for an additional charge!!
This boathouse is able to comfortably sleep 6 adults with a king size bed downstairs; the upstairs having a full size, two twin size beds, and an oversized sectional that the little's have no problem sleeping on. Your furry friends are also welcome to stay here, but please keep them off the furniture.
The kitchen has multiple small cooking appliances, along with a small charcoal grill in the front. **There is no bathroom in the boathouse, as water is not allowed to be ran to the boathouses!!** There is a porta-potty that is locked and only renters are allowed to use. There are city bathrooms and showers across the inlet that are free to use at any time, approx .5 miles away.
There are TV’s in the living room, bedroom, and loft that can be used to watch DVD’s, or can be connected through hotspot to watch TV. There is no Internet.
The boathouse is fewer than 2 miles to beautiful Medicine Park, which is full of restaurants, bars, gift shops, swimming hole, an aquarium, and many other attractions. Mt Scott is located approx 8 miles from the boathouse. Lawton that has many restaurants, casino's, antique shops, and multiple other shops is 15 miles away.
There is also a jet ski and golf cart that may be rented for an additional cost.
The boathouse is on the water and has a tendency to move causing it to make noise, and also resulting in it attracting bugs; as hard as I try to keep it bug free, they do manage to get in. If you are looking for a bug free property, this is not the place for you.
