Map
We are in the Silvermine section of Norwalk, which has shady narrow streets and houses along the Silvermine River that date to the 1800's. A great area for taking long walks. At the same time we are 10 minutes from three charming New England downtowns, Norwalk, New Canaan and Wilton; five minutes from the Route 7 connector, and 15 minutes from Calf Pasture Beach on the Long Island Sound. The renowned Norwalk Aquarium is close by. Right down the street from us is the fabulous GreyBarns Inn and Tavern, in a historic inn overlooking the river which was just renovated. Very upscale!

About Michael and Linda
Michael, a retired general contractor, and Linda are long-time Connecticut residents. Michael was born in Greece and grew up there. We have a condo in Naples, Florida, and an apartment in Glyfada, Greece. We spend a lot of time at these other locations, and in traveling to see our three kids and grandkids, who are located in Switzerland, Los Angeles, and Norfolk, Va.
Michael and Linda purchased this house in 2015
Why Michael and Linda chose Norwalk
We lived in nearby New Canaan for 30 years. Our children grew up there. When it came time to retire, we didn't want to go far away. Our Norwalk house is in the same Silvermine area as our previous house, only on the other side of the river! You will feel that you are in the heart of New England here, surrounded by lush woods, antique houses and an old mill. Sit outside on our patio in the morning and listen to the birds!
What makes this house unique
Our house sits high above the street and you feel that you are surrounded by trees and sky. The back yard features a large lawn and at the back is a hill with thick trees and shrubs in front of a stone wall. Very peaceful! The house is modern and very open. It is a pleasure to walk around and look out the windows at different times of day.
