- As mentioned before, the apartment is luxurious and comfortable. The white china is lovely and thin. The beds and mattresses are of superior quality with comfortable pillows and duvets. The bed linen is extremely delicate which will provide you with a very good night sleep.

The apartment is situated near the metro and RER station Denfert Rochereau. It is a direct line from Gare du Nord if you are travelling by Eurostar or by Thalys.
If you are travelling by plane, there is a direct RER rail link from Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport and a direct bus from Orly airport.
The railway station Montparnasse is also nearby if you are coming from the west or from the south-west of France or if you wish to go further afield to Chartres.
Paris itself, not including the suburbs, is relatively small and from the apartment - as I have already mentioned - you can reach most major tourist attractions in less than half an hour. The nearest metro stations are Denfert Rochereau and Gaîté. Denfert Rochereau is 550 m away and about a 6 minutes walk, Gaîté is 650 m away and about 7 minutes by foot.
Euro Disney is easily reached by RER B and A or by car (motorway A4).

Thank you for your interest in my profile. I have the Dutch and the French nationality and I came to Paris to work in 1981. With my husband and two children, I have been living in the neighborhood of Montparnasse for many years now and I still enjoy every minute of it. Now that my children are studying, I have time to take care of the rental and the guests. It is great to receive visitors from all over the world.

Why Elisabeth chose Plaisance
The building in which the apartment is situated was built by the great-grandfather of my husband in 1911. The great-grandmother said to the great-grandfather: "But why are you building in the country side?" as there were just farms, cows and chicken around. The building was finished after WWI when the apartment was let to Mr and Mrs Robbe-Grillet. They were the parents of Alain Robbe-Grillet, the famous French novelist and filmmaker. Until recently, his sister Anne-Lise rented the apartment.
What makes this apartment unique
The area around the apartment is quiet and safe but lively at the same time. The Rue Daguerre is, as so many guests mention, an oasis of food shops, restaurants and sidewalk cafes. I live in the same building as the apartment and I am always available to give information and help if needed.
