This Spanish style 2-bedroom ground floor apartment is situated within an established complex, in a traditional Spanish resort. It is a perfect holiday for families, single people, and couples alike. A small knowledge of the Spanish language is advised but the locals are only too pleased to help if you are willing to try.
The apartment is within secure grounds, with access through keyed security gates. It is overlooking a large pool with a children's pool attached. The property has two double bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds; there is an open plan living/dining room with a sofa bed and dining table. The kitchen is fully equipped leading on to a utility area housing washing machine, broom, and mop etc. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, toilet, wash basin, mirror, and bidet. There is a large patio area housing table, chairs, and sun loungers, at the front of the apartment with views of the kiosk and pool. There is a winding, retractable awning which covers the patio area when the sun is too hot. At the back of the apartment there is a small play area within the confined gated grounds which is ideal for children to play safely but set apart from adult relaxation.
The Kiosk and poolside bar, opens in the holiday months of July and August offering reasonably priced drinks, snacks, ice-creams, tapas and pre-ordered meals, not matched anyway else in Bahia, creating a friendly hustle and bustle of a holiday complex.
The area offers in the summer months many beach water sports: paddle boarding; inflatable water gyms; jet skis; bottomless boat excursions, as well as cycling and horse riding.
If holidaying here out of the busy holiday season, a quiet, tranquil atmosphere is enjoyed, perfect for the elder clientele or couples and single people looking for a typical spanish retreat. During these months there is still many restaurants open within walking distance.
A large Sunday market is located outside the complex which sells a multitude of goods, ie fruit and veg, hot chickens, nuts, sweets, delicacies, and an array of stalls with clothes and household goods waiting to be bartered on. Although close, the bartering and general noise of a busy market is not heard within the apartment complex where there is still a quiet, lazy Sunday morning feel. The Sunday market operates all through the year and is a must for all bargain hunters.
If you’re looking for a quiet place to work from home during the winter months our apartment is an ideal home office in the picturesque grounds, offering Wi-Fi and electric radiator heating.
The buses stop nearby for locations such as Cartagena or buen Nuevo.
With only a 5-minute walk to the nearest restaurants, shops and amenities, you will not want for anything, especially when there is only an 8-to-10-minute stroll to the nearest sandy beach, with its clear warm seas, promenade and cafes, idealico!

Days trip down memory lane
We booked this apartment as a base for our trip down memory lane!! Camposol, just outside Mazzaron was where my parents bought their first Spanish home 23 years ago!! They are both elderly now and not in the best of health so have returned to the UK, but wanted to visit old haunts. This apartment being on the ground floor and near to the pool was ideal for this. Many of the apartments are Spanish owned which we liked, we like to try and converse in our broken Spanglish!! We found it to be comfortable, very quiet, and ideally situated. Being a gated community we found it to be secure too. The pool was ideal as it graduated to the deep end, it was clean and there were no time restrictions (unlike a lot of hotel pools) All in all we had a lovely holiday and I would recommend this apartment to friends.

BAHIA SOL apartments Mazarron July 2019
Loved this place. Apartment and complex are well kept and situated in an ideal area for both the beach and town/harbour. I don't think the actual review on this website does it justice. The harbour is lovely with good restaurants at very cost effective prices. It is absolutely ideal for families with children up to 0-12. Teenagers could get bored. Couples without children again ideally suitable. Lovely little sandy coves within short walk. Spanish holiday owners in complex very friendly and made to feel welcome even though we were the only English there.

Perfect location for fabulous family holiday
We stayed at the apartment for 11 nights from 29 July and from the moment we arrived felt immediately at home. The apartment is extremely well located, close to numerous bars, restaurants and marina and beach. Importantly, with 2 young children the gated community and close proximity of swimming pool to the apartment was very comforting knowing the children would have a fun filled and safe holiday. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, and comfortable and had everything we needed for our break. A wide selection of DVD's also came in handy. With regard to the location itself, it had everything we needed. The numerous restaurants are of good quality and provide good food at reasonable prices and all pay special attention to the children. Overall, we had a great holiday, so much so that we have booked for next year, albeit for 2 weeks!

Charming and fun place to stay with baby
We had a wonderful family holiday in the apartment with our 16 month old daughter. The 'gated' private patio area at the front of the apartment was perfect for safe play and the shade can be lowered as desired. It was also a good spot for relaxed home-cooked meals and sunbathing on the loungers (no need to fight for one!!). Being so close to the big, well-maintained pool was ideal. Literally outside the door. We bought tasty plates of tappas from the pool bar when we didnt fancy cooking, they always gave a smile. The other people in the apartment complex were friendly and our daughter played with other babies in the safe and large baby pool plus slide / seesaw around the back. We went in September when it was blissfully quiet. We explored the many sandy beaches, the nearest being only a 5-10 min walk, more secluded ones just 15-20 mins walk. All had showers to clean off etc. Mazarron has plenty of restaurants for all pockets, babies welcome. Seafood is great value. In addition to trying regional Spanish food, you will find Italian, French and our favourite Chinese buffet. Pick fresh meat and fish (including scallops) and they will cook it up in front of you, as much as you like. The choice is impressive and excellent value at 9 euros per head. On Sunday theres a big market to wonder around for a couple of hours. Dunk the fresh local donut fingers into hot chocolate or coffee. Buy a spit roast chicken to take back for lunch and choose salads / fruit from the various stands. Owners Mark and Ellen, were extremely helpful - they provided a welcome pack and arranged for us to be met by Brian at Murcia airport. He dropped us off at the apartment which was stocked with, soap, loo rolls, tea, milk and water. He even offered to get other essentials if we needed. The supermarket is 5 mins walk, we used the shopping trolley in the apartment to stock up. The place was spotless and had a travel cot / hair dryer / all required items in the kitchen etc. The fans on ceilings in every room kept the place nice and cool. The small complex is kept clean and tidy and the pool serviced every day. We would certainly recommend to other families looking for a charming, friendly and fun place to stay :)

Hi, we have been the property owners of Bahia Sol Apartment for the past 18 years or more. We live in a sunny part of Essex, but like to spend some of our winter holidays in sunny Spain, in particular Mazarron, where we can experience the Spanish way of life, which we love. We are still working back in England but hope to use the apartment more upon retirement. Until then we love to share this idealic location with others.

Why they chose this property

We picked Mazarron because we were pleasantly surprised on how picturesque, reasonably priced, and friendly the area was. All those years ago we felt we had found a hidden gem, with the many beaches, and pick of Spanish restaurants to choose from. We have seen the Puerto de Mazarron grow, and improve, showing off some impressive yachts' over time. The area has never failed to keep our interest.
During the summer months there is an array of water sports to choice from with inflatables in the sea and jet skies and paddle boards available to hire.
In the winter months, with this part of Spain enjoying many days of winter sun, there is always something to do, places to visit, restaurants to eat at or just to kick back and relax.
We have enjoyed many holidays with our family here, whilst also renting the property out for others to enjoy.

What makes this property unique

Our Bahia Sol Apartment boasts a fabulous shared pool and well maintained grounds, with the added benefit of the Kiosk and swim up bar open during the summer months. Being close to beaches, port and amenities the location is very hard to beat for the price.
