This is a wonderful property with a fantastic view. It was perfect for relaxing while you watch the lobster fisherman daily checking their traps, seeing the action of the birds or just watching the tide go in and out. The location offers peace and serenity but is close to other mid-coast areas to explore.for short forays and fantastic food.
What a beautiful home and property. Watched eagles, osprey and seals much of the week. I would highly recommend this home- we loved it!
Excellent location , great host and would recommend this property in a heartbeat .
Very comfortable , stunning views, and well equipped . If you’re a coastal Maine lover , this place is deal in every way! Would definitely return !
Lovely house on the water
The house was comfortable for a family and well outfitted. It had everything we needed. The bathrooms have been updated. The kitchen has not been updated, but it was completely functional and organized for cooking meals.
The view from the house is wonderful -- so peaceful on the water. The neighborhood is walkable and there is a trail about a mile away.
The location gives easy access to Bath, Brunswick, Freeport, and Portland.
Michelle was lovely to work with as we made our plans.
Birch Point is beautiful!
We have rented a number of times and it has been wonderful for our family. So grateful to rent such a great place.
About Michelle King
Our house is in West Bath towards the northern end of Casco Bay. We are nestled in the waterside community called Birch Point. Most of the homes on Birch Point are year-round owner-occupied residences. Many of the homes were originally summer homes for residents of the nearby city of Bath and have remained in the same family for generations. Our home was originally built as a summer cottage in the mid-nineteenth century. It was substantially rebuilt and converted for year-round use in 1975. Purchased by our family in 1985, our home was limited to family use for many years. Although our family has been geographically spread out over the years, from nearby New Hampshire and Massachusetts to as far away as California and Texas, we, as well as our grown children, vacation each summer at this home as we continue to have deep attachment to it. We are delighted to watch our young grandchildren enjoy this spot as much as their parents did. It was after our own children were grown that we began to offer weekly rentals through VRBO during the summer and fall months.

Why Michelle King chose West Bath
In all these years we have never tired of the view. When looking out to the water, Phippsburg is to the left and Harpswell to the right. Just offshore, is a small tidal island called Jenny’s Nubble. Out in the bay, sailboats are often seen coming in and out of The Basin, which is to the left and is a popular shelter on the coast of Maine. Most days one wakes to the gentle hum of the lobster boats as they set and pull their traps. While you are here you can enjoy swimming (if you don’t mind the cold water of the north Atlantic), leisurely walks, or watching the boats and sunsets along the waters’ edge. Kayak and boat rentals are available locally and our private dock provides access at all tides. The Bath area offers a variety of attractions (for guests who can tear themselves away from the water!) ranging from golf to shopping to the Maine Maritime Museum (where one can explore the area’s rich and ongoing shipbuilding heritage) to Popham Beach and Fort Popham at the mouth of the Kennebec River. Enjoy!
What makes this House unique
