The house is located 20 min north of Beziers in a hamlet of 35 inhabitants on the hillside of the Faugeres.
The rental is a holiday home of 110 sq.m equipped for 6 persons in the comfort required by the 3 Epis rating. Upstairs are three bedrooms (2 double beds and 2 bunk bed), a bathroom and separate toilet, and a washing machine. They have a south oriented view on a hundred-year-old cedar tree. On the ground floor are a living room (sofa, armchairs, fireplace, television, DVD player radio, library, desk) opening on a large terrace. Right next to it is a dining room with an american kitchen equipped for 6 persons (with an oven and a dishwasher)
Outside, south oriented as well but partially shaded, you will find a terrace, ideal for suntanning, and a plot of land sheltered from the wind by pine trees and very nive for having dinner. By crossing a private street (for the other 2 houses) where the car is parked, you will have access to a quite garden of about 400 sq.m with a wooden swimming-pool semi-burried 4 m in diameter.
The hamlet will be the children's kingdom for a few weeks: they will stroll the shady alleyway without the fear of seeing any car, they will play at the petanque court, discover the creek... with no water during summer.
Lentheric is part of the AOC Faugères, one of the most renowned vineyard of the Langedoc. You can savour the wines and also appreciate the restaurants which sometimes have stars. In the villages located within a 5 min radius are all necessary shops and the supermarkets are 10 minutes away. You can also go horse riding, go-karting, flash-balling.
You are in the Regional Park of the Haut Languedoc. So, you will discover a scenery of hills covered by green oaks, strawberry trees and cistus going progressively up to the first foothill of the Cevennes. On the hillside are organic vineyards. Surprisingly, you will see black pigs and small cows adapted to this environment. On the paths and trails all over the land, by bike or hiking, to pick some blueberries or wild strawberries, you walks will always be very peaceful.
If you want to visit the back-country of the Herault, you can be in 20 min in Pezenas, well-known for its stalls since Moliere and nowadays, for its typical Saturday market. Other small cities to visit: Roquebrun and its Mediterranean botanical garden, Lamalou-les-bains with a thermal spa and a golf course are 15 min away by car. Perhaps you would prefer to swim in the Gorges d'Eric or in a river (Haute Vallée de l´Orb).
The sea is 35 min away going around Beziers and you will find the family resort of Valras or the 'greener' beach of Serignan. Better known and more trendy, the Cap d'Agde is 45 minutes away. For the children is the amusement park of Vias. Very famous also is the harbour of Sete with fishermen, with sailors and poets who make the place so original.
Day trips. To the North, go to Millau crossing the Larzac and also look at the Viaduct. To the east, go to the very dynamic city of Montpellier with its boutiques, aquarium, Mediterranean Zoo and also the Soulage exhibition. To the West, go visit the city of Carcassonne along the Canal du Midi. To the south is Spain. Why not ? Closer is the surprising Sigean African Reserve.
On site, we will understand that you prefer the sun, shade and tranquillity of the house...
