About MenorcaSelect
My name is Teresa, I was born in Madrid but I live and work as an interior designer in Gijon, a town in the Spanish north coast. It is a quiet and nice place to live, but we have too many rainy days (I'm sure many of you will understand me!), so I spend part of the year dreaming with the turquoise sea waters and the Mediterranean light of my Menorcan paradise. We created our Menorcaselect Club 5 years ago, as we have a extense experience in the management of charming hotels / quality villas management in other areas of Spain, and also as quality hotel auditors. We love Menorca for many years now, and our own family holiday home is here. Therefore, this project is very special for my husband and I, as we aim for our customers to find the kind of special villas that we love to find too, with quality services for a memorable holiday.

Quiet and Relaxing
Our family holiday to Binibeca, staying at Villa Rocio, was one of the most relaxed laid-back holidays we've experienced in a long time. The views from the villa are quite spectacular and we never got tired of watching the activity on the water, from small kayaks to fantastic yachts and sunseekers. Lucky people. Villa Rocio had everything one needed and was close to restaurants, which we found fascinating as some were hidden away within a maze of white-washed buildings, very close to the fisherman's village. We wanted to explore Binibeca Vell more than we did, but due to the extreme heat and humidity we didn't manage to venture far. Even a walk to the beach was exhausting, which brings me to suggest that the villa would benefit from ceiling fans on the verandah, as there wasn't even a sea breeze to help us keep cool the week we stayed. Thank goodness we had the pool to jump into. A great week was had by all the family and we wouldn't hesitate to go back to Binibeca Vell and Villa Rocio.

The location was perfect, the view and proximity to the village.
The villa is pretty and perfectly located and the pool and outside areas are well maintained and very comfortable. However, we were disappointed that the third bedroom had a very small bed, not really suitable for 2 adults for a week. Also, the shower in the shared bathroom was old and the doors were difficult to close, it definitely needs upgrading. We were disappointed on arrival to find that we had to empty the dishwasher before we could prepare food and drinks. There were no cleaning materials provided so we had to buy kitchen cloths and surface cleaner, not what we expected from a 5 * property. We had a lovely time in the villa but these things did irritate us, especially the shower situation.

And we have worked to fix the problem with the shower. However about the cleaning materials is specified in our guides that a kit is provided like cortesy but is not replaced during the stay, and all the services includes arr specified too. And regarding the bed in the third room is also specified in our descriptions the wide 120cm. Anyway our sincerly apologies again and We hope to see you again soon on our beautiful island !!

Coast/Beach:
Binibeca is one of Menorca's most attractive, relaxed and unspoilt resorts of the island. It's beach (5 minutes’ walk from VILLA ROCIO) is of soft white sand with crystal clear waters and nearby facilities. Ideal spot for families searching for a calm and safe holiday, away from classified resorts. The beach bar of Los Bucaneros (converted fisherman’s hut) serves freshly cooked basic meals as well as snack and hot and cold drinks. Lifeguard service, sun bed and umbrella hire.

Airport and Ferry in Mahon, at 15 km.
Car hire is not essential, but is recommended to take full advantage of this wonderful island: all roads are very well signposted and it is a pleasure to drive in them. VILLA ROCIO enjoys a strategic location to explore the nicest places of the South Coast (beaches of Binisafua, Binidali, Biniparratx, Cala Torret, Punta Prima, Cala Mesquida...), with all the attractions of Mahon Harbour ten minutes by car.
Distances:
Sant Lluis, the nearest village with all the services: 5 km.
Mahon old town area, its lively harbour, cosmopolitan restaurants and shops/ Airport: 15 km.

VILLA ROCIO is located in a quiet area, yet with all amenities close by (supermarket, cafes, restaurants, children’s play area, bus stop, etc). For those who want to explore you will find beautiful seaside walks at your doorstep, or if you would like to go further afield Villa Rocio is strategically located for easy access to the most picturesque areas of the south coast, including the beaches of Binisafua, Binidali, Biniparratx, Cala Torret, Punta Prima and Cala Mesquida. The attractive Mahon capital city and its lively harbour are only ten minutes’ drive away and there are excellent connections to the rest of the island (Es Grau, Bahia de Fornells, Ciudadela, etc). Public bus to other beaches, Mahon, etc, at 1 minute walk.
About Menorca...With pristine sea waters and nature (the island was declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1993), the island is a perfect place for activity holidays, from sailing, sea kayaking and scuba diving, to walking and cycling. The newly reopened Camí de Cavalls is an ancient bridle path which mostly extends right around the island’s coastline. A former coastguard and smugglers’ path, the Cami de Cavalls is now a well signposted trail for walkers, horse riders and off road cyclists which is the perfect way to explore the hidden gems of the coast.
Menorca is a beautiful green island with more beaches than Mallorca and Ibiza put together, some fully serviced with restaurants and bars, others only accessible on foot through pine groves to tranquil sandy beaches to take along on picnic excursions. Binibeca is a quiet location ideal for those who want to relax when on holiday, there are restaurants, bars and supermarkets (selling many UK products) all within walking distance of VILLA ROCIO, but don’t forget that seafood and wine will play an important part for anybody holidaying on this wonderful island.
