Lovely Retreat

This property is lovely. The house is modern and has all amenities. The garden is completely enclosed, offering privacy. The pool looked inviting, though we didn't get to use it because we stayed in the winter. The owners were responsive and helpful.

Second Week a Disaster

The gite was very clean and well equipped, the garden was a large and secure area for our dog. We enjoyed sitting outside and appreciated the large verandah with its sunblind. The pool was clean but despite the 30c air temperatures was very cold due to the lack of a cover. HOWEVER the Monday morning of our second week the peace and quiet of the rural gite was shattered by the arrival of a JCB, concrete mixer and a large lorry into the owners' garden which was adjacent to our gite. The noise was unbearable so we decided to have a day touring the area. Unfortunately the next morning it all started all over again, we had no prior warning of this work taking place. It seemed obvious that what was happening was going to take some days. We contacted the owners of the gite that we had booked for the third and fourth weeks of our holiday to enquire if we could stay there earlier. The gite was free so we decided to leave. We cleaned the gite and left it as we had found it, contacted the owner to explain the situation and that we would be leaving around 2pm. The owner arrived at about 2.15pm fortunately we were still there, whether he deliberately came late to avoid meeting us-we do not know? He said they had a water leak in the house on the Sunday and decided to have the garden done. Can you really get all that equipment in a day's notice? His wife was meant to send us a note - we have got nothing. We had to pay for four extra days at the second gite - there was no alternative.

Top Ferienhaus, gerne wieder!!!

Wir verbrachten mit unseren Kindern und deren Partnern einen sehr schönen 14-tägigen Urlaub. Neu-Aquitanien ist mehr als nur einen Urlaub wert. Das Ferienhaus ist komplett ausgestattet, das Grundstück komplett eingezäumt, so dass unsere beiden Hunde den Aufenthalt sehr genossen haben. Der Pool war ein Highlight und wurde regelmäßig vom Vermieter gereinigt 👍👍👍 Wir hatten sehr viel Privatsphäre! Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war vorbildlich, leider ist unser französisch sehr eingerostet sonst wäre es noch einfacher mit der Kommunikation gewesen. Da wir mit unserem E-Auto nach Frankreich gefahren sind, war es super, das wir vor Ort laden konnten. Nochmals vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!
