Relaxing Paris Getaway

My family, including 2 young children, had a lovely stay at this property. The house was clean and well-stocked. The views are amazing and the children had so much fun in the indoor pool. It is a great location to explore many attractions and towns within a 30 minute drive. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Spectacular Home in French Countryside

After looking in Paris for suitable lodgings for our family of 7 (5 kids between 8 and 16), we decided to take a chance on this house in the French countryside with an indoor pool. The photos look great, and everything lived up to our expectations and beyond. The pool was fantastic for our family before and after long days of sightseeing, the rooms are charming and spacious, and the house itself was one of the highlights of the trip. The location was fantastic, too. We made the short but scenic drive in to the little villages of Chambray and Cocherel for fresh baked goods, sausages, and cheeses almost every day. The drive in to Paris was about an hour most of the time, but our location also prompted us to explore the fascinating city of Rouen, with its incredible medieval architecture and history, as well as smaller towns like Pacy-sur-Eure. Truly a fantastic vacation for our family, and this house played a big part in making it so special.

EXCELLENT.....THE BEST....100%

Celebrated 70th birthday's with friends and ended up with new friends in France. Dominique, the owner of this unbelievable home is so wonderful. The home was beautiful, comfortable and special. We enjoyed the patio and pool very much along with large bedrooms and excellent amenities. The home and property was kept so beautiful and inviting and so very well maintained and clean. Delightful kitchen and grill outside for some home meals. I tell everybody in the U. S. about this villa in Chambray if traveling in France. Thank you Dominique.

Why they chose this property

Having decided to go find another life, we thought our old residence that hosted many anonymous guests or more or less famous in political, media and artistic ( one of them called our theme nights , white nights, Halloween, 70s, the New Year's wake , birthdays ... ' crazy nights Chambray ) could continue to offer exceptional moments turned into cottage .

What makes this property unique

Decoration All beams were painted pastel color ( green in the Norman area and living room, in the kitchen yellow , blue in the office) . We find these colors in 3 bedrooms fourth keeping his small fireplace normand.Une character allows diners to enjoy the countryside while a large fireplace warms guests comfortably installed in the living room. I chose six months before buying this house , the furnishings line 'Marco Polo' evokes the journey . Each furniture is decorated with globes , symbolizing the opening to the outside world, but also an invitation to receive them holidaymakers of all nationalities . A large glass table allows the light to spread harmony to share bread and wine.
An artist specializing in trompe l'oeil made three different atmospheres for very different places. Poolside, a monumental fresco covers an entire wall to plunge us into a water world of relaxation . Sono side we go in the air to the cosmos, and side lounge atmosphere is quite different because it is a return to Italy. Water , air, fire are present on the land in the domain .
The exterior furnishings: SCI which housed this house when I bought it was called ' the SIC Pinèdes ' .Thus peculiar smell pine invites you to stroll through the park and the forest cover 2.5hectares . Cons below an apple orchard is not immune to the Norman tradition.

In the beginning ... was a little house with a kitchen, a dining room and two bedrooms upstairs . Then have added large and small rooms on the ground floor and office space , the master bedroom and large bathroom upstairs, and a tower with entrance, another room , its bathroom . the pool, connected to the house forms a set L with a pointed roof evoking Asia ...
