The Belém neighborhood of Lisbon
This small marina is on the Tagus River in the heart of historic Lisbon, and guarded by the iconic 60m-tall Monument to the Discoveries. The marina has views of the Tagus River, and the Lisbon bridge. Just 400m down-river is the 16th century Tower of Belem, which was varyingly a fortress, dungeon, barracks, and cloister.
The gardens of Belem, the CCB Cultural Center, Jerónimos Monastery, and the world-famous Pastel de Belem are all a short walk away.
Belém train station is just a 5 minute walk, from where direct and frequent trains take you in just a few minutes to downtown Lisbon, or in the opposite direction to several beaches, and the historic villages of Cascais and Estoril.
The area around the marina is busy during the day, but parking is nearly always possible.
Sightseeing tours start near the marina.
