Having holidayed on the island for many years as our children have grown up i find it the most relaxing and tranquil place. I find the island very unspoiled and so wonderful for families. The people are very friendly and I feel very safe here. Owning a property here and having close friends who live on the island makes this a special location for me and my family.

HP Holiday
All fine except the electricity which kept on tripping whenever
we used the washing machine and the kettle. We had to go to
the sub station, which was only up the road, about 10 times.
A lovely rustic character villa in Menorca.
El Barco is a charming character villa in this lovely part of the island. Location is near perfect with supermarkets, shops, coffee shops, restaurants and a beach only minutes away. Leaving the property either left or right at the gate, gives you choice. John and Evelyn at the Smugglers Bar are charming and a great place to have Eggs Benedict for breakfast. For lunch and evening meals and further Asian cuisine choices visit the Bambu restaurant which is quite elegant. At El Barco villa the swimming pool was used every day and Al Fresco dining was an every day occurrence. A couple of minor issues which we will feed back separately but thank you Brian and Andrea for a lovely stay in your villa. We plan to return.

Perfect villa
The villa was as described , with all that was listed and more. The location was great, close to bars , restaurants and a supermarket. Would love to come back and stay again next year.

Fantastic place, ideally positioned with all the things you need for a perfect holiday!
The property was clean and tidy, roomy yet quaint. There was only the two of us but there was ample space for more people.
Parking right outside the villa was very useful, although it did get a little harder to park during siesta. Even still, we managed alright to find a space.
The outside sunbathing area was perfectly secluded and a fantastic sun trap. The pool was great and just about deep enough for me (5'11" tall) to stand on my tip toes in the deep end.
Booking was very easy and the owner was very helpful and answered our questions promptly. We would happily book this villa again!

Wonderful Location
This really was a smashing little villa. Really well stocked kitchen - everything we could have needed / wanted.
The location really was fantastic, so close to restaurants / bars / beach.
It is not a fancy modern villa and some might say needs updating ( windows / bathrooms) but for us, we could not have wanted more!! Just a gorgeous typical Menorca villa!! Wonderful sized pool too.
The only thing that would have enhanced our stay is a nice outside seating area to relax and have a drink in the evenings. Once our little one was in bed, there was a choice of hard garden furniture, bucket seat in the dining area, or sofas in a dark lounge with no opening windows. Something that could he’s easily resolved.
We would definitely return.

Brilliant family villa
This was an excellent, well equipped villa. Everything was ready having asked for an early check in. The owners were really helpful and responsive as was the agent on site.
Binibeca is a great place to stay and this villa has the bonus of being near to a bay where you can swim in the sea as well as the lovely pool.

Coast/Beach:
The villa is very close to the front line with sea views. Binibeca beach is 10min walk away but the private path next to the property takes you to a rocky cove which is a popular location for the locals at weekends for relaxing, diving and fishing.
Travel:
Mahon airport is 10-15minutes from the villa. Although a car is recommended it is not essential as their are plenty of taxis. The villa is in an ideal spot for the local bus service to Mahon town and also the 'novelty' train that takes you to Punta Prima is very close by and available in the summer months.
Distances:
Binibeca Vell village is a 10 minute walk, it is a beautiful typical Spanish fishing village with small windy streets and white washed buildings. Very picturesque.
Further Details:
Although Menorca is a quiet location, you can hire a car or take a cab or bus to visit the cheese and leather factories, aqua park, one of the many local markets around the island, S'Albufera nature reserve, El Toro church, Cova d'en Xoroi (this is a night club built into the rocks and an excellent trip in the day for the views, or the evening for the dancing. During your visit to Menorca you may find a fiesta is taking place with Spanish horses and dancing.
