The exciting area of Nanterre awaits your stay
The area's architecture and art galleries are just a few of the reasons to vacation in Nanterre. This city is cosmopolitan and scenic, recognized for its local tours, parks and university setting. Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower are just a couple of the must-sees in the area. Many of our vacation rentals offer full kitchens, spacious living quarters and sometimes even a hot tub—perfect for a relaxing getaway.
There's nothing grander than La Grande Arche
Much of La Defense business district lies within Nanterre's boundaries, and the city has a contemporary feel and look. Nothing epitomises this more than La Grande Arche. Regarded as a modern version of the Arc de Triomphe, La Grande Arche is 360 feet high, 360 feet wide and 360 deep. Despite its spectacular appearance, it's a commercial building with a rooftop restaurant and an exhibition area. Nanterre is a short distance from central Paris, and within 7 miles of the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, and Moulin Rouge theater.
Rocking out in the capital's newest stadium
As you'd expect of a city with such a diverse population, there are international restaurants to satisfy every taste in Nanterre. There are also charming boutiques, patisseries, and old-school cafes, as well as some seriously hip bars and nightclubs. Nanterre is the perfect spot for sports and music fans alike. The ultramodern U Arena opened in Nanterre in late 2017. Although it's home to Racing 92 rugby club, this 32,000 capacity stadium has already hosted major music concerts.
Enjoy a tranquil walk in an urban forest
Despite its urban location, Nanterre is quite close to numerous forests, botanical gardens, and national parks. The tranquil Malmaison Forest is only 3 miles away from downtown Nanterre. Bought by the Empress Josephine in 1800, Malmaison Forest covers more than 500 acres, and is crisscrossed by splendid tree-lined paths. It's very popular with walkers and joggers, and when the sun comes out, makes an ideal picnic spot. And the lake of Saint-Cucufa is an perfect place to rest, breathe in the fresh air, and watch the ducks go by.
